From 1992, I spent seven years on the island of Mallorca under the master Joaquín Torrents Lladó.
While my master and peers taught me countless lessons, the most precious gift this land bestowed was a lifelong attitude toward the canvas: the pursuit of the beauty of light.
The dazzling Mediterranean light remains at the core of my expression today.
For me, light is more than a physical phenomenon; it is a presence that brings hope and the strength to look forward.
It is this very landscape of light that I have captured here.

1992年から7年間、私はこのマヨルカ島に暮らし、画家ホアキン・トレンツ・リャド氏のもとで絵画の手ほどきを受けました。師や兄弟子たちからは多くのことを学びましたが、この地で教わった最も尊いものは、「光の美しさを描く」という姿勢です。地中海の眩い光は、今も私の表現の核にあり続けています。また、私が光に心を魅かれ続けるのは、それが単なる物理現象にとどまらず、人々に希望をもたらし、前を向く力を与えてくれる存在だと信じているからです。そんなこの地で学んだ、光の風景を描きました。
